Biology grant to support pre-med student researchers

Professors Blystone, King and Shinkle were awarded a $10,000 grant from the Texas Joint Medical Admission Program (JAMP) to support research internships for first year premedical students.  The mission of Texas JAMP is to encourage and enable economically disadvantaged college students preparing to attend medical school.  Two Trinity students selected for internships will spend this summer carrying out research with Trinity Biology faculty and participating in enrichment programs at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio.
