NSF to support financial aid to STEM students at Trinity

The National Science Foundation will award Trinity $600,000 to support “Financial Aid for Science and Technology Students” a program proposed by Dr. Michelle Bushey. These funds will be used to attract low-income students to the sciences by offsetting their student loan burden. The co-PIs on this grant are Dr. Dennis Ugolini and Dr. Wilson Terrell. The proposal was a collaborative effort involving faculty from STEM disciplines, administrators and financial aid personnel.  The grant is part of NSF’s Scholarships in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (S-STEM) program.
